Our Process

1. Inquiry Received
Inquiry
received via phone call or email. Therapist and caregiver/s schedule a date and time for a consultation.
2. Parent Consultation
This part of the process will involve the therapist and caregiver/s. The therapist will use this time to gather all relevant information required for the commencement of the therapy journey.
3. Initial Session
This part of the process will involve the therapist and child. Please note no formal assessments will be administered in this time as it will purely focus on building rapport, trust and connection through play.
4. Assessment Session
Based on the client's goals, age and current presentation, a formal assessment session may be scheduled. This will give the therapist an opportunity to administer standardised assessments.
5. Assessment Summary Report and OT Plan
An assessment summary report will be developed to document assessment results, clinical observations and record the child's baseline occupational performance and engagement. This report can be beneficial in sharing with teachers, other allied health and Paediatricians. If you require a more comprehensive report (e.g FCA), this must be requested prior.
6. Ongoing Sessions
Occupational Therapy sessions can either occur on a weekly or fortnightly basis within the child's home, school or kindergarten environment.

Blocks of therapy will run for 12 weeks, before a caregiver/s review is conducted and supports, progress and ongoing plans are re-evaluated.
